Meet “Swift”, A new Programming Language by Apple

Swift-language

Apple unveiled many exciting and new things at WWDC 2014. Like the major updates to two operating systems iOS 8 and Mac OS X Yosemite, The new Apple Home Kit and some Heath apps. Among all these new things a whole new most exciting thing is also introduced. It’s the all new Programming Language called ‘Swift’.

Swift has many new features developers have been asking for a long time. The language sits alongside Objective C and C. It means developers will be able to switch between languages during their work on project. The developers will be able to create game using swift without worrying about the left out Objective C. Swift integrates with the latest version of Xcode. Xcode has a brand new feature called Playgrounds which will render developer’s code in real time. Swift is mostly like modern JavaScript.

These are just more modern, colloquial languages that more developers today understand. They are easier to learn, and things don’t break as easily in them

And “Swift seems like it finally gives the developers in the iOS world the ability to do the things you have been able to do in the scripting world but without the penalties,” said Daniel Doubrovkine

According to Apple

This new language will make iOS development way more accessible

Developers will be able to write their apps in Swift as soon as the iOS 8 and Yosemite publically released.
