Here is another flash drive for iPhone and iPad! This time, its wireless too! MBLOK wireless flash drive is a new storage device for iPhone and iPad. The device comes from a team of students and entrepreneurs at Waterloo, Canada. This May is becoming a month specific for Apple accessories i.e. flash drives in particular. Previously, Hyper has introduced iStick flash drive which comes with built-in lightning connector.

MBLOK Wireless Flash Drive Details:

MBLOK wireless flash drives shapes like a small block which can easily be put in your pockets. There is a USB 2.0 port through which you can connect to your Mac or PC. Once connected, transfer the desired files, documents, music and videos to the block from your Mac or PC. Afterwards, all you need is to switch on Bluetooth on iPhone or iPad. Connect with MBLOK wireless flash drive and you are done. The device even supports Android and Bluetooth 4.0 devices.

MBLOKI Wireless Flash Drive Cloud Support:

The drive will also be having support for cloud storage. You can simply make your drive contents available online. These contents will be accessible to up to 7 devices connected wirelessly. Your device can even be synchronized with Cloud Storage i.e. Drop Box, Google Drive and One Drive.

MBLOK Wireless Flash Drive Design:

Like we told, the device is so small that you can take it along with you anywhere. It is Aluminum designed with rounded edges. The device has got some indicators as well. There is a battery indicator along with the storage statistics and an update manager.

MBLOK Wireless Flash Drive app:

Well, the drive is not as simple to use as it seems like. You will require an official app from MBLOK to use the drive. This is because Apple does not allow most plug and play drives. The app will be made available at iTunes as the device is made available. The app will have some built-in features as well. A music player, a video player and AutoCAD drawings previewer will also be there in the app. Moreover, the app will be absolutely free.

MBLOK Wireless Flash Drive Specs and Battery:

You will be getting speed up to 24 mbps at the wireless flash drive. The storage will be secured and protected by AES 128-bit encryption. The drive supports the previous versions of Bluetooth too. The drive has got a huge battery life i.e. of about 300 hours. A 550 mAh rechargeable Lithium ion battery will give this power.

When will MBLOK Wireless Flash Drive come?

Now, all you will be wondering when it’s coming out. Well, if the things go according to the plan, you will be having the drive in March next year. The app will come in January, however. At the moment, the eight-person team is trying to fund its product through Kickstarter community. You can check out the details here.

Summarizing the post, I will like to add that quite sooner, iTunes will no longer be a requirement of data transfer from iPhone or iPad.  Check out this video to learn more about this handy, beautiful, worthy drive,
