The very first Mario Kart game was released back in 1992 on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It was called Super Mario Kart and soon went on to become one of the most highly acclaimed games across the world. The game provided a competitive gameplay where multiple players could compete against one and another using split screen, the extremely fun and entertaining gameplay with its cartoonish characters and various powerup items made for a very enjoyable game.

The game is essentially a racing game and players race their “go-karts” against one another for the first position. What sets it aside from other racing games is, of course, its casual and fun style.
