Android Pie aka Android 9.0 came to the forefront of Android devices with the release of Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones this year. Google Pixel 3 was the first Android smartphone to feature the latest version of Android and ever since then other major Android OEMs have followed suit with the exception of Samsung.
