Yesterday was a big day for Apple fans. Apple released its first major update to iOS 7. iOS 7.1 brings a deal of new features i.e. CarPlay support, enhancements in SIRI and Touch ID etc. Here are the direct links for downloading the update. Something more is also revealed through the new update.
Thanks to 9to5mac.com for noting a significant build change. Well, iOS 7.1 Update brings support for two new iPad models. Models mentioned as iPad 4,3 and iPad 4,6 are still not announced by Apple. These hidden but new iPad models represents the slight hardware changes in the previous iPad models. iPad 4,1 and iPad 4,2 are iPad Air models while 4,4 and 4,5 are regarded as recent iPad Mini with Retina Display models. These iPad models have already once updated. iPad got an ‘Air’ makeover while iPad Mini added Retina Display. The update was made in Fall of last year 2013.
So when these new iPad models are coming? Well, there are no official words regarding it. But we can expect to see the both hardware revisions releasing with this year. Stay tuned to catch more stuff regarding Apple iPad and iOS 7.1!
