In a recent news, Intel Core M3 8114Y Cannon Lake-Y surfaced on 3DMark. The Intel Core M3 8114Y belongs to Cannon Lake-Y family of processors. The Cannon Lake-Y processors belong to Intel’s low power and low wattage consumption line of processors. The idea surrounding Cannon Lake is that it is expected to be fabricated using a 10 nm process and is set to be introduced in the second half of 2018.

The Intel Core M3 8114Y “Cannon Lake-Y” is a dual-core processor. It has four threads and runs at a base clock of 1.5Ghz. There has been no mention of the boost clock but it is expected that that Core M3 8114Y “Cannon Lake-Y” will run at a max boost of 2.2 GHz.

Although the processor’s base clock seems very low at 1.5 GHz, we should keep in mind that this a mobile processor intended for notebooks and tablet PCs.
