Nokia Event unveiled a number of things from Lumia handsets i.e. Lumia 1320, 1520 and Windows RT Tablet Lumia 2520 to Windows Phone apps. Windows Phone, at the moment, lacks a number of official apps i.e. Instagram app, Temple Run 2 etc.
It seems that things are going pretty good for Windows Phone. Previously mentioned the popularity of Windows Phone in India and its Market Share across Globe shows this. Now, for the first time, official Instagram app is arriving on Windows Phone platform as confirmed by Nokia. This is the result of Nokia-Microsoft partnership. Instagram is a photo sharing social network having 150 million active users over a month. The arrival of official Instagram app for Windows Phone is sure a great step, as Windows Phone continues moving in right direction.
Not only Instagram app, Nokia Event also confirmed the arrival of some more important apps like Temple Run 2, EA Sports, Flipboard, Vine, WhatsApp, Xbox Video and Vyclone Pro hence bringing Windows Phone up to the level of other mobile platforms i.e. Android and iOS.
Although Nokia did not confirm when the apps will reach publicly except this that the apps will come in ‘weeks’. However all the announced Lumia handsets will contain all these official apps.
