Reduce Red Dead Redemption 2 Stuttering
There are a few things you can do to mitigate stuttering on PC.
Reduce number CPU cores being used by the game
- Make sure the game is running, and minimize it
- Open the Task Manager on your PC
- Click on the Details to see all the running processes
- Find RDR2.exe
- Right-click on the task, and select Set affinity
- Uncheck one or two of the cores, like CPU 2, CPU3
- Click Ok
This method seems to have worked for a number of users, and it’s been a known issue in GTA V as well.

Update your Graphics Drivers
You can download the latest graphics drivers for your GPUs from the links below.
- Nvidia: 441.12
- AMD: 19.11.1
- Intel: Depends on your processor; download the driver update utility
Update your Windows Version
Make sure you are on the latest version of Windows 10, which is 1903.
