Mafia Definitive Edition is the remake of the original action-adventure that came out back in 2002. The remake is now available on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, Xbox One, and PS4. If you are on the PC version and are running into Mafia Definitive Edition Stuttering, here are a few things you can try to reduce it.

A few users have noted that they are running into various stuttering issues while playing the game. Here are a few things you can try to reduce that.
Method 1: Move the game to an SSD
If you have some free space in your SSD, we highly recommend moving the game to that. Many users have reported that their performance in general improved significantly with the game in the SSD. To move the game to another drive in Steam, follow the steps below.
- Right-click on the game in your Steam library
- Select the LOCAL FILES tab
- Here, click on MOVE INSTALL FOLDER
- Select your SSD drive and move the game to it
Method 2: Update your GPU Drivers
Make sure you are on the latest drivers for either AMD or NVIDIA. You can get the latest drivers for your specific GPU from the following links below.
Method 3: Disable full-screen Optimizations
- Open your Steam library and right-click on Mafia: Definitive Edition
- Select Properties, and now head to the LOCAL FILES tab
- Here, select BROWSE LOCAL FILES. This will take you to where the game is installed
- Now, right-click on the “mafiadefinitiveedition.exe” file, and select Properties
- Head into the Compatability tab, and check “Disable Fullscreen Optimizations” and click OK
