Everspace 2 is now available on PC as an early access title via both Steam and GOG. This is a fast-paced single-player spaceship shooter from ROCKFISH Games. More and more titles are moving towards using Directx 12 as their primary API, and this is understandable. However, because of this, many Windows 7 users are left in the cold, and they have to find other ways to play the game. If you want to play Everspace 2 on Windows 7, here is how you can do so.

Everspace 2 has launched as an early access title and will remain in that state for at least 12 months. During this period developers will communicate with gamers, and with their input improve, and balance the game. Players should expect around 25 hours of content in this state, and more will be added with content updates. Everspace 2 is on Steam’s top seller’s list and has a Very Positive review score as well.

Everspace 2 on Windows 7

As we mentioned above, the reason Windows 7 can’t play Everspace 2 by default is that it runs on Directx 12. This API isn’t supported by Windows 7, and because of that, games simply don’t run. However, even though the game runs at Directx 12, you can still access the Directx 11 mode. This can be done on both Steam and GOG. To do this, simply follow the steps below. This method also helps if you are running into constant GPU crashes.
