Jailbreak iOS 11 and 11.1.2 devices using Electra

If you are unsure about how to jailbreak your iPhone that is running iOS version 11.1.2 then you have come to the right place. In this guide, I will show you a step by step method on how to Jailbreak iOS 11.1.2 using Electra on a computer. This method works for iPhones and iPads alike as long as they are running iOS 11/11.1.2.

However, before proceeding, be advised that this is a semi-untethered solution. This means that the Electra app will need to be opened and the device re-jailbroken every time the device is either restarted or turned off and on. Now that we have that out of the way lets start with the guide.

Requirements for the jailbreak process

Step by Step Guide on How To Jailbreak iOS 11.1.2 Using Electra:

Step 1- First off, make sure that your intended device is connected to PC/Mac via cable. Also, before proceeding with the jailbreak you should backup your device using iTunes. This will ensure that should anything go wrong, your data will be protected.

Step 2- Now, Launch the Cydia impactor that you downloaded earlier. You will then drag and drop the latest Electra IPA file onto Cydia impactor window. A prompt should appear asking for your Apple ID credentials. Add the required Apple ID and password to proceed.

Step 3- Once the required credentials are accepted, Cydia will sideload the IPA onto the connected Apple device.

Step 4- Once the Electra IPA is installed on the device, you will need to tweak some settings before it can launch. Head to Settings > General > Profile(s) & Device Management and then select the profile which was installed via the Electra app.

Step 5- When asked, select trust both times on the alert screen. Now head back to the Electra app and tap the icon to launch it.

Step 6-  Now its fairly simple, when the Electra app starts on your device you will see a very simple screen that will have the word “jailbreak” in the middle. Tap this jailbreak button and make sure “tweaks” is on.

Step 7- Wait for Electra to carry out its work. You may see a prompt that says “APFS Screenshot Created”. This means that the process is going well. Simply tap on “Continue Jailbreak” button to proceed. FYI, this APFS Snapshot feature will enable you to revert back to stock iOS 11.1.2 state using SemiRestore should anything go wrong with your jailbroken device.
