Yakuza: Like a Dragon is the latest entry in the long-running franchise from SEGA. This is the first time the title has launched on PC with consoles as well. If you are on PC and are running into the Yakuza like a dragon black screen issue, here is how you can fix it.
The game has a Very Positive rating on Steam, and the title has been reviewed positively by critics as well.

This issue is caused by the same reasons the crash at launch happens. To fix this, you can either refer to our guide here or follow the steps below.
Fix 1: Edit the configuration file
- Head over to the following location
C:Users(YourUsername)AppDataRoamingSegaYakuzaLikeADragon
- Now, here, open the graphics.ini file using a text editor like Notepad
- Here, adjust the setting to your liking, or for the moment, simply copy and replace with these
[GraphicSettings] output_id=0 resolution_x=1920 resolution_y=1080 window_mode=2 refresh_rate_num=144001 refresh_rate_denom=1000 window_left=0 window_top=0 window_width=1920 window_height=1080 v_sync=0
- Save the file and exit
Fix 2: Change user folder name
Only try this fix if your Windows user name has some special letter or symbol that is not commonly used in the English language. To change your User name folder, follow the steps below for each Windows.
Windows 10
- Create a local account with the user name you wish.

Settings > Accounts > Family & Other users > Other users > Add someone else to this PC > The person I want to add doesn’t have an email address > Add a user without a Microsoft account

- Change account type to administrator (can skip if there is another administrator).
- Remove original Microsoft linked account
- Link local account to Microsoft account if you wish

Fix 3: Add an exception in your Antivirus
If you have third party anti-virus software installed, simply add the Yakuza folder in its exceptions/exclusions list. This will make sure that the anti-virus doesn’t consider it a false negative.
FIX 4: UPDATE YOUR GPU Drivers
Make sure you are on the latest versions of your GPU drivers. You can download these from the links below
FIX 5: UPDATE YOUR WINDOWS
Make sure you are on the latest version of your operating system. To update your Windows, follow the steps below.
- Click on Start, and go to Settings
- Here, select Update and Security
- Click on Windows Update
If you have a pending update, it will give you the details for it.
