Mortal Kombat 11, as the name suggests, is the eleventh iteration in the Mortal Kombat franchise. The game has finally arrived on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch yesterday. Having its roots in 1992, the Mortal Kombat Franchise has been growing for 25 years. The Mortal Kombat Saga continues with the eleventh iteration of the game and takes off where the prequel ended in terms of story. Today, I will show you how to fix Mortal Kombat 11 Memory Crash issue on PC.

Unfortunately, as with many newly released PC games, Mortal Kombat 11 has been experiencing some stability issues. These will hopefully be fixed in an upcoming patch but for now, you can do a few things to mitigate the problem. Many players have reported that their game crashes displaying an “Out of memory” crash error. This doesn’t necessarily mean you have insufficient RAM it can happen on well-equipped systems as well. This problem has more to do with the game than the system itself.

How To Fix Mortal Kombat 11 Memory Crash Issue on PC

Here is how you fix it by increasing the virtual memory of the drive on which Windows is installed.

Question: How to calculate the initial and max values?
Answer: The initial size is one and a half (1.5) x the amount of total system memory. Maximum size is three (3) x the initial size. So, in this system we have 8 GB (1 GB = 1,024 MB x 8 = 8192 MB) of memory. The initial size would be 1.5 x 8192 = 12288 MB and the maximum size would be 3 x 12288= 36864 MB.

Once you have put the correct values, restart your PC and run MK11.

I hope this helped if you have any further question feel free to ask in the comments. Also check out my other guides on MK11 below:
