Fix Black Ops 4 Stuttering

Call of Duty Black Ops 4

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 has been out for a while now and while the game is being enjoyed by many there are, however, some issues faced by PC players in particular. We recently tried to cover some of these issues which you can find here and here but new ones have come to our attention ever since. This time we have a very common performance issue that Ryzen users are facing in particular. We will show you how to Fix Black Ops 4 Stuttering that many seem to be facing.

How To Fix Black Ops 4 Stuttering on Ryzen Processors

I have seen many Ryzen users complain on different forums that their BO4 starts to stutter after every 3-5 games. The issue seems rampant on Ryzen CPUs as I think the game has trouble handling all the cores. Follow the steps below if you are facing this issue.

Step 1- Run BO4.

Step 2- Head to settings of the game and turn on manual cpu priority.

Step 3- Minimize your game, go to your Task Manager, find Black Ops 4 from services and from advanced options, deselect the last core (right-click on “blackops4.exe” than go to “set affinity” which will show you all of the enabled cores) [Updated]

Step 4- Go to the details tab in task manager and Right click on BO4.exe process then change the process’ priority to Highest or Real Time. The game seems to sometimes set it to low priority with its automatic priority setting on.

Step 5- Restart your game and see if it made a difference.

Players have reported that they had to restart the game after every 2 or 3 matches but the above method fixed it. Let us know in the comments if you have any questions.
