Installing Stock Recovery on OnePlus 6: Step by Step Tutorial

  1. Open the ADB command window on the PC or Mac. If you don’t have it follow the guide above in Software Requirements.

  2. Shut down the device and enter into Fastboot Mode manually.
    • Do this by first completely Turning Off your Phone and then holding down the Power Button + Volume Up Button.
    • Alternatively, if you have Advanced Reboot enabled on your device you can go Reboot > Bootloader from power menu.
  3. Once your phone is Fastboot, connect it to your computer.
  4. Make suer you have copied “recovery.img” in ABD / Fastboot Tools folder.
  5. Open the ADB shell through these commands.
    flash_image recovery recovery.img
  6. Reboot the device using the below command. If a warning sign appears then reboot the device again.
    fastboot reboot
  7. After restart your device will use the original recovery to install update.
