SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated is a remake of the platforming game that came out on the PS2, Xbox, and Gamecube. This updated version includes enhanced visuals, higher frames, and resolutions. THQ Nordic is responsible for publishing this, and we’ll likely see a lot more of these remasters from them. If you’re on PC and want to disable SpongeBob SquarePants Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated Chromatic Abberation, here’s how you can do it.

The game currently has Very Positive reviews on Steam, and for the most part, it plays well. There are a few tweaks you can make, and we’ll be covering those.

Disable SpongeBob SquarePants Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated Chromatic Abberation

Chromatic Aberration is a visual effect, that a lot of people don’t really like in games. Sadly, in-game settings don’t give you an option to turn it off. Here’s how you can do it.

%LOCALAPPDATA%\Pineapple\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
r.SceneColorFringeQuality=0
Scalability.ini

That’s all you have to, and the next time you run the game, you won’t see that visual effect in-game.

You can purchase the title right now on Steam. It’s not available through the Epic Games Store. We hope to see more remasters/remakes from THQ Nordic given how many IPs they have recently acquired. It will be interesting to see which title they choose next, but good remasters are always beneficial for gamers. We would love to see more titles from previous generation consoles come to current ones with more playability.
