Control is an action-adventure video game developed by Remedy Entertainment and published by 505 Games. The game has been received very positively and has a decent user score as well. The game is fairly demanding on PC, and if you’re wondering how to disable Motion Blur in Control, here’s how you can do it.
The game has forced Motion Blur and provides no in-game setting to disable it.
How to Disable Motion Blue in Control
The game doesn’t have an in-game option to disable motion blur, but Andytizer on PCGAMINGWiki has found a solution. Simply follow the steps below
- Download this file on your PC
- Extract the file, and copy the contents in the game’s main folder (where you have to installed)
- Once you’ve copied the contents, launch the game
- Now, you can press F4 to toggle Motion Blue on and off
- You can also turn it off by opening the d3dx.ini file that came with the package. Look for w2=1 under ;Motion blur. 0=disabled. 1=enabled. and change it to w2=0
That’s all you need to do to disable the very annoying motion blur setting implementation in Control.

We’re hoping for Remedy to patch in the option to motion blur, but till they do, this is the only way we know so far, to disable it.
