Disable Grounded Chromatic Aberration

Source: Steam

Yesterday, Obsidian Entertainment released its much-anticipated Grounded on the PC and the Xbox One. In only a matter of hours, thousands of users purchased the game on Steam. However, new releases come with errors and issues that can ruin the experience for users. One of such issues is the chromatic aberration in Grounded that users can’t disable from the in-game settings.

Chromatic aberration performs an important part in games as it may or may not ruin the aesthetic of the game. However, most games do have the option to disable it from the in-game settings. With Grounded, that isn’t the case! For users that paid $10.49 for the game, this can be a detriment. In this article, we will explain how you can disable chromatic aberration in Grounded on PC.

How To Disable Grounded Chromatic Aberration On PC?

Grounded does not provide any options to disable chromatic aberration from the in-game settings. However, you can do this by changing the settings for chromatic aberration from the game-files. To do this;

<Steam-folder>/steamapps/compatdata/962130/pfx/
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\Microsoft.Maine_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Local\Maine\Saved\Config\WinAnvil\

Once you’ve done all of the above-mentioned steps, chromatic aberration should be disabled. It is important to note that the above codes are case-sensitive. If the chromatic aberration still isn’t disabled, you should open the GameUserSettings.ini to see if you made any errors.
