Despite being 5 years old game now, it managed to crash the Epic Games Store making millions of players unable to get it for free. The issue is resolved now and you can easily add the copy to your account. But like most of us, you must have tried the game already by purchasing it on the steam or downloading it via Torrents. Either way, there is an easy way to Copy GTA V files from Steam or Cracked to Epic Games Folder.
If you already have the Steam version of GTA 5 installed on your PC, you can easily move your files to the EGS version of GTA 5 and get those sweet GTA$10,000,000. So, this way you get to upgrade your standard version to premium for free and it simply works.
How to Copy GTA V Files from One Store to Another (Steam/Cracked to EGS)
First you need to download the Epic Games Store PC Launcher on your computer and sign in with your account. Once that is done follow the steps below to successfully copy the Grand Theft Auto 5 files from one location to the another without any issues.
- Open Epic Games Store on your PC and start downloading the GTA 5 via it.
- Wait for 5 mins and once the download is started, pause it and exit the EGS.
- Now go to your Steam Library Folder from there navigate to the path below:
SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V
- Now select all the file and right click to copy them.
- Now go to the folder where Epic Games launcher was download the game and paste all the files there.
- Once the files are copied, Open EGS and resume the downloading of GTA V. Make sure you don’t delete the .egstore folder.
Now, the EGS will start verifying the copied files of GTA and once that is done it will download less 1GB of files. After that you will be able to launch the game on your PC via Epic Games Store. Depending on your PC hardware it may take few minutes to verify the files and start downloading the missing ones. If you have SSD installed then it will take little time to launch the game.
