Google Search introduces ‘Hashtags’, commonly used in Social Sites

Google Plus started supporting #hashtags back in May, but now it seems that Google is bringing #hashtags to its products. Just 3 days before, Google Search introduced #hashtags. Currently this feature of Google Search is available in U.S and Canada however we expect it to roll out to all across the Globe soon.

#hashtags are nowadays commonly used on social sites like Facebook, Twitter and of course Google Plus. It seems that Google is finding #hashtags  important. Moreover, also promoting its social site i.e. Google Plus. So now the question is how can you search for #hashtags?

It’s quite simple. Just enter your search keyword followed by #hashtags e.g. #emmys, #android etc. Google Search will display the result along with a new sidebar on the right side showing all the relevant posts containing the #hashtags from Google Plus. You can also find the searches from Facebook or Twitter at the bottom in a separate area. So when you will click the relevant link, respective post from social site will be opened. The position of the post will sure be determined through the +1s, likes or favorites.

It seems that Google is synchronizing its products with its social platform promoting the value of using #hashtags.
