Google Search app updated for Windows Phone, bring UI improvements

Keeping aside the conflicts between Google and Microsoft, Google has now updated Google Search app for Windows Phone. Google Search app for Windows Phone was first released two years back and have not received any update till yet, particularly because of Google-Microsoft conflicts. Moreover, Google also kept its focus on its mobile OS i.e. Android giving no importance to Windows Phone. But now, Windows Phone has become the fastest growing mobile OS in the world.

Coming to the changes the new app contains, the new Google Search app features a new look and logo bringing the app in line with the current look of Google. The new Google Search app which brings the app to version 2.0.295.80 features many fixes and improvements. Voice Search has also been added along with the better image viewing. It’s now easy to switch between images, videos, news etc. The new app has also made ‘resolution enhancements’. You can also sign in to your Google account using the new app.

It’s still the initial stage of Google support for Windows Phone. Still a lot of collaboration is required to enable Microsoft to add more support for Google Search. Till then, Bing will continue its dominance in Windows Phone.  You can download the app for FREE at Windows Store. Here is the link:
