Team behind Google Chrome is working to shift the browser to 64-bit for some months now. It was first tested as a Chrome Canary release few months back and then 64-bit beta was released almost a month back.

64-Bit version of Google Chrome is now available in stable release. Version 37 of hugely popular browser now fully supports 64-bit system and is optimized for them. 64-bit machines can easily run 32-bit version of any software seamlessly but there are some advantage of using 64-bit software on 64-bit processors. Like latest 64-bit Chrome has many advantages over 32-bit chrome.

Recent tests shows that 64-bit version decodes HD YouTube videos 15% faster, and it has improved speed on many graphics and media benchmarks. 64-bit rendering engines are twice as stable as 32-bit engines.

Meanwhile 32-bit version of Chrome will remain fully supported and it will also get continuous updates. To give a try to 64-bit version, go to the download page and select the 64-bit version of Google Chrome.
