Gamescom 2018 is fast approaching with it recently being announced what Activision games would be playable at the event along with the recent news that Insomniac Games Stormland for Oculus would also have a playable demo at the event. Now we’re treated to Gamescom 2018 New Games that will be announced at the opening celebration of the event!
Gamescom 2018 New Games List
There were several studios that have been revealed to make announcements at the opening ceremony. Among these Studios are some with vague hints and one huge exciting reveal:
- THQ Nordic are set to reveal a completely unannounced title based on one of the established brands of the esteemed Publisher. What could this be? Darksiders? That would certainly fit the bill of being an established game series. We will have to wait and see.
- Square Enix are set to make the first public reveal of the Life is Strange 2 trailer. This is the exciting reveal we were talking about. Years ago, Life is Strange had us all awe-struck at its wonderful heart-wrenching story. We can not wait for the sequel.
- Deep Silver are set to make a new announcement that we know nothing of as of yet. Given that THQ Nordic acquired Deep Silver in February 2018, a separate release could be interesting.
- Bandai Namco are set to reveal a new game from a European Developer. Given the vast variety of games under Bandai Namco. This could be anything.

And there will be a number of special surprises to mark this important anniversary: For the first time international publishers such as Ubisoft and THQ Nordic will be presenting global premieres at the gamescom opening ceremony. THQ Nordic plans to introduce a previously unannounced title based on one of the publisher’s established brands. Fans of adventure experts DONTNOD are looking forward to the public premiere of the first trailer for LIFE IS STRANGE 2 from Square Enix. Additionally, game fans from around the world can expect a new announcement from Koch Media and its publishing label Deep Silver. BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe S.A.S. is using the gamescom opening ceremony as an opportunity to announce a brand new game from a European developer. Some of these newly announced titles will be available to play at the publishers’ booths in the entertainment area directly following the presentation.
