Earlier we wrote an article where we compared upcoming B450 chipset motherboards by four different brands. B450 motherboards from MSI, ASRock, Asus, and Gigabyte were compared and we even picked out the one that seemed the best to us in terms of gaming. Today, we have 4 Gigabyte AMD B450 Motherboards to look at, these were revealed just recently on Gigabyte’s website. Although the official launch is still a couple of weeks away, different manufacturers have started teasing their motherboards already,

As we already covered in the article linked above, the Gigabyte AMD B450 Motherboards and the B450 chipset, in general, will support AMD Ryzen processors of the 2000 series. These include for the time being:

The four motherboards in question, include two ATX form factor motherboards and two in mATX form factor. Read our article here to know the difference between the two. The four motherboards are listed below:

Gigabyte AMD B450 Motherboards Specifications

From what is yet known, the two standard sized ATX motherboards feature 2 PCIe x16 slots while, while the mATX as expected has one PCIe X16 slot. The two PCIe X16 slot on the two ATX motherboards feature 16 and 4 lanes respectively. Also, the 16 lane PCIe X16 slot is rated PCI Express 3.0 while the other one is a 2.0.

The motherboard we like the most out of the 4 is the B450 Aorus Pro (wifi). It contains a lot of features although keep in mind that the B450 chipset is directed towards budget-conscious consumers so it may not have the top tier specs that other premium motherboards have but still, it offers passable specs considering the price and all. The B450 Aorus Pro features t2p M.2 slots for SSD storage. It offers 6 SATA ports for an abundance of storage capability.

Even the cheapest of the four motherboards revealed by Gigabyte, the  B450M DS3H, offers one M.2 slot for SSD connectivity. So these motherboards don’t compromise that much on features as one might expect.

Below is a table of different AMD chipsets for a general idea of their features.
