Epic Games just recently released Fortnite v8.40 Patch notes. The Patch is live now and can be downloaded across all platforms. Just moments ago, Dataminers revealed Fortnite Air Royale Challenges and Rewards. Air Royale is a new limited time mode in the latest patch in which the last plane flying wins the game.
Leakers have been hard at work when it comes to Fortnite patches and the now, new Air Royale Mode, was also leaked when dataminers found relevant files in the last update i.e. v8.30
Now thanks to the same dataminers we have obtained Challenges and rewards for the new mode. They are as follows.
Fortnite Air Royale Challenges and Rewards Leaked By Dataminers
In this limited time mode, players will pilot the X-4 Stormwing and fight to become the last plane flying on the map. This LTM comes with free challenges that will unlock brand new raps.
Here are complete details on the LTM
- Air Royale is lifting off as a Duos-only mode.
- Each plane has 3 lives, players will respawn until they lose their plane’s last life.
- Touching the ground will instantly eliminate players.
- Parking a plane on the ground for more than a few seconds will cause it to explode – stay airborne!
- Hijacking another team’s plane will add that plane to your existing number of plane lives (and cost the team who lost the plane a life).
- The storm has a ceiling that gradually lowers during the match. Be careful not to fly too high late in the match!
- Loot chests of five different rarities will fall from the sky, allowing players to upgrade the guns they are carrying as well as boosting their plane’s weapons for a short time.
- To receive the contents of a Chest, simply fly through it.
- If players receive loot from a Chest containing a weapon they already have that’s of the same or worse quality, they’ll receive additional ammo.
- Chests with higher quality guns will automatically replace the lower quality weapon that’s being carried.
- Floating repair kits can also be found, these heal damaged planes and grant health & shields to players.
The servers are currently down as the new update is implemented into the system. However, the following challenges and rewards can be seen ahead of time thanks to FireMonkey who successfully datamined them.
Fortnite Air Royale Mode Challenges
- Deal damage to opposing Stormwings with an SMG or Minigun (4000)
- Collect different rarities of Sky Chests as a pilot (1)
- Play matches of Air Royale (7)
- Deal dmaage to opposing Stormwings with Pistols (2000)
- Destroy opposing Stormwings (5)
- Outlast Opponents in Air Royale (100)
- Deal damage to opposing Stormwings with an Assault Rifle (5000)
- Deal damage with upgraded Stormwing weapons (4000)
- Place Top 5 in Air Royale (3)
The rewards for the Air Royale challenges are the Callsign Skull Wrap, Callsign Falcon Wrap, Callsign Wolf Wrap, and Season XP.
