Final Fantasy II was recently released by Square Enix on our favorite platform, Steam. You might know Square Enix for releasing games like Marvel’s Avengers or the Hitman Series. Now you can play this famous fan-favorite game remastered into stunning 2D pixel art graphics. This remaster is based on the original Final Fantasy II game released in 1988, so you can expect a lot of nostalgia to kick in. In this guide, we will let you know the Final Fantasy II Save file location.

This guide is for those players that still want the save file even though the game supports Steam Cloud Saves. This means that even if you lose your save file locally, Steam still has a backup of it for you just in case. We just hope you won’t do anything illegal with savefile such as cheating to ruin your own experience.

You could want the save file to maybe delete it if it got corrupted or to install some mods. If for any reason, you want to have your local savefile with you in your hand then you can follow the steps below.

Open File Explorer. You can open it by searching “File Explorer” in the Start menu. It’s also usually pinned to your Taskbar.

Go to the disk on which you have installed Windows. Usually your C: Drive.
Go to the Users folder and then click the folder that has your Windows username.
Open the Documents folder.
Inside here, head into the FINAL FANTASY II PR folder and then the Steam folder.
Overthere you will find a folder with numeric name containing your saved files as seen in the screenshot below:

You can also directly paste the following URL in File Explorer to get to your save file.

%USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY II PR\Steam\

Now that you have your savefile, be careful with it. Don’t accidentally delete it. You can modify the save file too but at your own risk of being banned for cheating or corrupting it.
