Dragon Ball Unreal Demo

In case you are not aware, there is a fan-made Dragon ball game that is being created by a fan who goes by the screen name Emudshit. Emudshit has been working on this project for over a year now. The game is being developed in Unreal Engine 4 presumably by Emudshit alone which is quite a feat in itself. Today, we have some good news as Dragon Ball Unreal Demo has been released to the patreon supporters of the project, however, non-paying fans will have to wait.

Fan Made Dragon Ball Unreal Demo Released To Patreon Supporters

Currently, we have no confirmation if Emudshit plans on releasing this demo for the general public. This is, in fact, the second demo for the game that Emudshit has released, the first one was released way back in the Feb of 2017. The first demo contained a full battle damage system, combos and abilities, multiple characters, better sounds, improved animations, and more customization options which have now been improved even further.

This time, however, the biggest change is that the game now has AI implementation which means that the player will be fighting an actual computer opponent instead of an idle dummy model.

At first glance, the game looks incredibly realistic, the visuals of the terrain and the surroundings, in general, look lifelike and there is some exceptional lightning work. Moreover, another cool new feature is that your character, Goku, can now run and transition between running and flying very smoothly. You can, in fact, knock enemies down by running into them or flying into them and taking them down.

The fighting mechanics have also been improved and new combo animations added. Flying mechanics and transition animations feel smoother now and there are actual fights with enemies.

Dragon Ball Unreal Release Speculation

Unfortunately, the developer has not given a time frame as to when a possible release can be expected. The game is far from finished right now and we suspect it can possibly take a better half of another year to get completed at the current pace. The game is, in fact, being developed by a single person or at best a few people so we are not expecting any miracles.

This is all for now, let us know in the comments what you think of the demo.
