After Facebook, or more Mark Zuckerberg attained WhatsApp for $16 billion, many people mooched that what will happen to the company’s existing messaging application. As mentioned earlier about the leaked screenshots of the app of having an in-going call feature, this has now been proven true for Facebook Messenger.

The company restructured the app with a major new update that allows users to make free voice calls to their Facebook friends.

This facility is but common in other applications too, such as Viber, which has been long in the game. But this is something quite big. Providing this facility should be a game turner. The voice calls can be made anytime given that there is Wi-Fi or mobile data connected on both ends.

Now when you view the contacts from within the Facebook Messenger, you can see a phone icon next to their names. Given that the contact has phone availability or not.

Given the details about the phoning, let’s talk about the design. The design of the in-call screens of the Messenger and that of the Whatsapp, may resemble each other, but they also resemble the in-call screen of iOS7.

What is true and what is not, that is yet to be find out. Download the Facebook Messenger app and let yourself dwell inside of it.
