Early Copy of Super Mario Party Sold on Ebay for $7100

Super Mario Party

Super Mario Party

Super Mario Party is an upcoming party video game published by Nintendo. It is the eleventh main installment in the Mario Party series and is scheduled to officially come out next month, however, something bizarre has happened and an early copy of the game has been sold.

Super Mario Party Sold on eBay for $7100

You’re reading that right, an early copy of Super Mario Party was listed on eBay and the bidding went up to a total of $7100, someone actually spent that much to play a game a few days early.

The Seller, who’s now deleted the listing shared some videos of the gameplay as well, as proof, which you can watch below

Look, I understand how someone would you know pay a few bucks before if they were offered to play the game before release, but paying thousands of dollars to literally play the game a few days early is nothing short of insane, not only this, but the dealer and the person buying it could both be tracked down somehow and Nintendo could brick their consoles.

Make sure to read about all the houses in Forza Horizon 4 while you’re here as well.

But this is nothing too shocking given how people can literally spend thousands of dollars on microtransactions and publishers and developers alike, don’t even care about how anticonsumer and damaging these practices are.

We’re not sure how this lister got hands on the copy but we doubt it was from an airport as they claimed, this could be serious and the people involved probably don’t even realize it.

What do you think of this situation? Would you pay $7100 to play a game early? Let us know in the comments below.
