Dropbox revamped its payment plans, Boosts storage, 1TB is now for $10 a month

Dropbox is one of the most popular online file storing services currently available in market. Today Dropbox announced its new payment plans for Dopbox pro and it also added some new and useful features.

If you want to get Dropbox Pro, you’ll get 1 TB storage now for same $10 per month.  Moreover Pro users now get some cool features which were previously available to Business users only which pay $15 per month per user.

Now you get more sharing controls, You can password protect a link so that not everyone can see that link and you can set it to view only. So the person whom you have shared the link with will only able to see the contents after entering password.

You can set expiry date to your shared links. You can set the link to expire after 7 days, 30 days or any custom time you set.

It also introduced Safeguard for lost devices which will let you remotely remove all Dropbox data from any device you lost. But data will be safely backed up on cloud servers, it will be removed only from lost device.

 

When we see at the competition, Google Drive is already offering 1 TB of storage for $10 per month. Microsoft’s  OneDrive for Business is cheapest among all. It offers 1 TB storage for $2.50 per month or $30 per year. But when its comes to apps availability, Dropbox has more wide approach. Amazon is now most expensive cloud storage service. It offers 1 TB at $500 per year which is about $40 per month. So it is about 5 times expansive than Dropbox.
