Download U2 album FREE on Apple devices till October 13

Apple ended its September 9 Event with a special performance by U2 onstage. The Cupertino CEO announced a deal according to which Apple users will be able to get popular U2 album ‘Songs of Innocence’ for FREE. He claimed the deal as

the largest album release of all time

The new album features 11 songs from the band with rock, electronica and soul music. The album has been recorded in New York, London, Dublin and Los Angeles. The album is the first studio album release by U2 in five years.

You can download the album, right from your Music app. Hit the Albums tab, scroll to the ‘Songs of Innocence’ album. You can now tap any song to list or click the cloud icon to download an individual track. Moreover, you can also download the album via iTunes. Launch iTunes on PC or Mac. Under Music section, head to Albums tab. Choose ‘Song of Innocence’ and download it.

Today, Apple has gone a step ahead, in promotion of this deal. Now, the company is automatically suggesting the U2 album in its Music and iTunes app. The users which don’t like the album are bit irritated by the step. But well, no doubt, it’s a nice promotional effort!
