On June 19, 2018 Basemark Launched its new Benchmarking Tool named Basemark GPU. Basemark GPU is a new graphics performance evaluation tool for Multiple Operating systems like Windows, Android and Linux to enable comparison between Vulkan 1.0, OpenGL 4.5 or OpenGL ES 3.1 graphics APIs. Support for DirectX 12 and Metal (iOS) will be added in upcoming months.
This tool enables next generation automotive, mobile and computer processors to calibrate and compare graphic performance without any hassle. Arto Ruotsalainen, CEO of Basemark tend to believe that Basemark GPU will become an essential tool for anyone tasked to evaluate graphics performance in systems ranging from smart phones, smart TVs and cars to PCs. The Two and a Half years of fully determined expertise work on this massive project fabricated into a true piece of art-product.
The product uses industrial grade graphics & compute Rocksolid Engine by Basemark, which enables the tester to execute identical workloads (AAA quality game-like workload) across many different devices and technologies, thus enabling advanced GPU profiling from many angles. It offer support for automotive and other embedded operating systems, such as QNX and Integrity.
Basemark GPU allows the user to compare their device to other devices around the world. Free version submits all official scores to Basemark Power Board automatically, the score is not available for user in free version.
Basemark GPU Quality modes
Basemark GPU offers two different modes for different platforms, Medium and High Quality mode. The High Quality mode targets Desktop systems using high resolution textures, advanced effects, increased number of objects and demanding geometry based on today’s AAA PC game standards. The Medium Quality mode a subset of High quality mode regarding decreased Texture resolution, number of frames and limited effects targets Mobile systems based on today’s AAA Mobile game standards
