Dota 2 Promise of the Eminent Revival Bundle 2018: Worth Spending Money?

Dota 2 Promise of the Eminent Revival

The Dota 2 community is anxiously waiting for the release of exclusive Immortal Treasure III and we also expect the release of the exclusive chest to be released this week. Every year The International Compendium brings about the hell lot of new rewards along with exclusive rewards especially for battlepass owners and this year is no different. However, this time Valve bought something really new and unexpected for the first time ever, Promise of the Eminent Revival. A mysterious level 615 reward which got the community excited and clueless what this could actually be?!

Now it has been released and everyone has only one thing on their minds, is it worth getting?

Dota 2 Promise of the Eminent Revival

The reward is not that mysterious as I might be implying but who knows what the developers had in their mind. The exclusive level 615 reward has been released in the last update and you can claim it if your battlepass level is 615. As far as I could tell everyone was really hyped and excited for this release as what kind of items this could have in it? Now since its release, the community is in quite an uproar and very much disappointed. Well, they have all the right to be upset as they spent money to get this reward.

The reason the Dota 2 community is upset because all of the expectations were in naught as this bundle does not contain that flashy and spectacular Immortals. I understand that the developers changed the color of the previous battlepass immortals so that it goes with this year’s battlepass theme which is also green but God, they do not look as much great as they should have.

What I think the main problem is that they released immortals of those heroes which most of the people do not like to play. Kunkka’s blade is quite decent but if we talk about others, let’s say, Lion. That hero just got his prestige item just quite a while ago, which is also not marketable or tradable, and Lone Druid or Leshrac not many atleast in my knowledge play these heroes. Making the immortals useless for most of the people. If you were really hoping to revive immortals at least make them for heroes that people like to play.

There is a total of 5 Immortal items from previous battlepasses.

You can see the Immortals in effect down below.

Each of the Immortals has a 2nd style which can be unlocked by completing the task associated with the respective Immortal.

Final Verdict

From what I know before this bundle release that this would be a legacy bundle which would have immortals from previous battlepasses with something much more prestigious but this is not what the players had in mind. We are talking about Valve here as they released very cool stuff for Dota 2 every compendium but this time they really did a poor job. If you were eagerly waiting for this bundle release so that you should get this bundle. If you really, like really want these items in your inventory, go for it spend your percious money to claim this reward. However, if you are unsatisfied with these immortals like me and most of the Dota 2 community I would suggest not to waste your precious money for this bundle and actually get something useful instead. Really not worth it, however, this is only my opinion.

Let’s just hope Valve do not mess things up with Immortal Treasure 3.
