1993 gave us an absolute power trip in the form of the original Doom. The game we all secretly played even though our parents explicitly asked us not to. 2016 did the unthinkable when a new Doom game released that managed to capture and even enhance the adrenaline rush that the original provided us with and it was super accessible too, being released on the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and your next door neighbor’s toaster (Okay maybe not that last one). Now as we all eagerly await the release of the new one, Mick Gordon has announced that he requires a heavy metal choir for the soundtrack of Doom: Eternal!
As if this game wasn’t metal enough already, Mick Gordon uploaded the following video on his YouTube Channel:
The video is titled “Join the heavy metal choir”. Mick asks any aspiring “metal screamers” to apply and join the heavy metal choir. If you’re wondering how you can sign up, we’ve got you covered! You can go and register on the official website here. Below are some pointers of any potential applicants taken from the website:
- We’re looking for all types of screamers.
- Your level of experience doesn’t matter.
- We’re looking for all genders.
- As long as you’re over 18, it doesn’t matter how old you are.
- You must be able to travel to Austin, Texas, for a recording session in the first week of March 2019.
- You must be over 18 years old.
- This is not a free gig. You will be paid and you will receive a credit.
- You will have until the 1st of February 2019 to submit your demo.
