Days Gone is an open-world survival horror game from Bend Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The title came out exclusively on the PS4 back in 2019 and is now coming to PC in Spring. PlayStation president Jim Ryan confirmed in a GQ interview that more PlayStation exclusive titles are headed to PC as well, and Days Gone is the first one to come out. Now, the Days Gone System Requirements for PC are out through the Steam page as well.
This is the second first-party title to be confirmed for PC, the last one being Horizon Zero Dawn. Other PlayStation exclusives that weren’t developed by their first-party studios also made their way to PC, and include games like Death Stranding, and Detroit: Become Human. Despite the rough launch, Horizon Zero Dawn sold very well on Steam, and the developers have been releasing patches ever since it came out.

Recommended Requirements
- Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
- OS: Windows 10 64-bits
- Processor: Intel Core i7-4770K@3.5GHz or Ryzen 5 1500X@3.5GHz
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 (6 GB) or AMD Radeon RX 580 (8 GB)
- DirectX: Version 11
- Storage: 70 GB available space
- Additional Notes: SSD for storage
These are very detailed system specifications, and something that should be way more common. First off, something becomes pretty clear that while the game looks gorgeous on PS4, and PS5, it isn’t super demanding on the PC. An i7-4770k is the recommended CPU, which is fairly old at this point. 16 GB of RAM is the new standard for PC gaming, and that is the same for Days Gone as well.
Moving on, PC users need 70 GB of free space to install the game. This isn’t surprising, as the game is an open-world title. The developers have recommended SSD storage in both cases, to ensure faster load times, and faster texture rendering (most likely). Lastly, players need an RX 580 with 8 GB of VRAM to play the game at higher settings. Hopefully, the actual optimization is as good as the requirements, and the game really does run well at the recommended specifications.
Days Gone on Steam
You can add the game to your wishlist at the following link.
The game features ultra-wide monitor support, unlocked framerates, and improved graphics (increased level of details, field of view, foliage draw distances) for the PC version. The game also includes new skins, new game plus, survival mode, and challenge mode. Hopefully, we will have more announcements for PC releases in the coming week, including the much demanded Bloodborne port as well. There is a huge catalog of games that would sell very well on PC, which are currently only available on the PlayStation.
