A Japanese website published an article where they have shown an upcoming converter device which will let you use the Nintendo Switch controller on PS4 and a PS4 controller on Nintendo Switch. This news comes from Game Watch which is a Japanese website. A translation of the article shows that the converter will be released in mid-July for 6480 Yen ( Around 60 USD).
The device is referred to as a “Super converter” in the original Japanese article, however, I won’t be so sure about the name just yet as much is lost in translation. As for the credibility of this news, we have pictures of the actual device along with diagrams of how it will work.
Converter Will Let You Use Nintendo Switch Controller on PS4 and Vice Versa
The super converter will not only work will wired controllers but will also have the capability to use a wireless controller. Moreover, according to the source, you will also be able to customize the key bindings on either controller according to your liking. The source also mentions settings that will let you configure “continuous firing” on certain keys but not much info is currently provided.
The Super Controller’s firmware will be updated via PC.
What is more, the Super Converter is also compatible with Nintendo Wii U which means that you will be able to use a PS4 controller on Wii U and a Wii U Pro controller on a PS4. According to the diagram above it seems like the PS4 controller and the Wii U controller will be usable with Nintendo Switch but Nintendo Switch controller won’t be usable with Wii U. The text is scarce in the original article so I am only going by the diagrams above.
