The official Twitter account for Idea Factory and Otome’s Collar X Malice franchise has announced that the game will be getting an anime adaptation

Collar X Malice is the visual novel video game series developed and published by Idea Factory under Otome brand. Idea Factory is the Japanese video game developer and publisher, the company’s subsection develops otome games under the title Otomate. The company is also involved in tons of anime production and just announced a Collar X Malice Otome anime based on the visual novel game series.

According to the Tweet alongside with the anime, the company also plans for a second stage play for next spring. The announcement was announced at Otomate Party 2019 event earlier.

Synopsis

Otomate originally released the otome visual novel in Japan in August 2016. An English version of the game was released by Aksys Games in July 2017. Aksys describes the game as,

Collar X Malice – Ultimate Details

Collar X Malice ultimate fan disc was released in 2018 in Japan which included an interlude, sequel story, and three side stories for PlayStation Vita. The original game and Collar X Malice Ultimate both are planned to release on Nintendo Switch and will be released in 2020.
