Catherine Classic Rated by Australian Classification Board

Catherine: Full Body is currently known to be coming on the PS4 and PSVita in February 2019. While we have no clue about what Catherine Classic is, it seems to have been submitted for rating by the Australian Classification board to be given a rating. Whether Catherine Classic is the censored version of the game made for countries like Australia and Germany where the censorship laws are stricter, could be the reason for the sudden appearance of the game.

Catherine Classic – The Censored Version of the game?

A curious listing appeared on the Australian Classification Board which puts Catherine Classic (thanks Gematsu)for review.

What is curious about the rating is how the country of origin is Germany, considering Germany and Australia are two of the biggest countries in the world to censor video games, it is very likely that this is the censored version of Catherine: Full Body that will be released for the region.

Germany has in the past allowed for games to come in their country with modifications such as with South Park: The Stick of Truth and the new Wolfenstein games with changes to Nazi imagery.

It stands to reason that Catherine Classic is probably the version of the game which allowed the game to be rated MA15 which is the second highest rating a game can be given after an R rating which will severely narrow down the customer base that can buy the game.

For now, we have to wait for official confirmation from Atlus or other sources regarding Catherine Classic.

Catherine originally released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 back in 2011 and was a smash hit among audiences for its ridiculous style of storytelling, characters and the puzzle mechanics making the game a treat to play but at the same time terrifying as you progress in the game.

With Catherine Full Body eagerly anticipated for the PS4 and the PSVita, fans are waiting at the ready to play the game with new features, bonus content and other goodies on the current gen systems.
