Battlefield 5 PC System Requirements Have Been Revealed

Battlefield 5

It seems like forever since the last time we received any substantial news regarding Battlefield 5. It seems as if people forgot about the game amongst the ruckus created by Black Ops 4 after launch. BO4 has dominated the battle royale scene for the most part but still lags behind Fortnite. This year is all about BR games and we can’t wait to get our hands on Battlefield 5 to see what it offers. Today, we have received news that Battlefield 5 PC System Requirements have surfaced online and so let’s see what the game has in stores for us.

Battlefield 5 PC System Requirements Have Been Revealed

The requirements surfaced recently and there are three categories. Minimum, recommended and DXR requirements. Let’s look into em.

Battlefield 5 System Requirements

As you can there are the two usual categories, minimum and recommended. However, there is a third one also that says “requirements for DXR”. DXR basically means “DirectX Raytracing” which is hallmark of the new turing Nivida cards. The RTX line of cards that were announced not so long ago feature real-time ray tracing technology. Until now there have been no games supporting this feature and the feature hasn’t been tested yet. However, BF5 may change that as the game seems to incorporate DTX and will make use of Nvidia’s RTX technology.

Other than that, even the minimum requirements are not so “minimum”. It requires an i5 6600K at the least and this tells us the game is highly demanding graphically. However, the minimum requirement for GPU is a reasonable 2 GB VRAM GPU. Perhaps the game is more CPU dependent than it is GPU for minimum graphics.

As for recommended, you better have that 4th Gen i7 ready with a nice 6 or 8 gig GPU. Also make sure you have 50 gigs of free space or your SSD/HDD when the game comes out.

This is all for now, do leave us a comment below and tell us if your system has what it takes to run BF5.
