We all know that Batman v Superman is expected to break a lot of records but it would break a record so soon? That was clearly not expected despite being a huge fan. According to the latest reports from Latino-Review the budget of Batman v Superman has sky rocketed to a massive $410 million!
If the reports are really true and the budget of the movie is in fact $410 million, then the movie needs to pull of something bigger than a $1 billion gross total to actually be acclaimed as successful. Although if things go south and Batman v Superman underperforms, Warner Bros. will have a lot of problems on their hands with Zack Snyder being one of them.
The reasons for the movie being so expensive is because of the additions of big name cast member, some really practical sets, and an extended production schedule (which moved to the movie to be released in 2016 in the first place) all plays its part in making the movie so expensive.
WB gave a free hand to Zack Snyder to see if his vision of shared a cinematic universe meets the one that their rival Marvel has set during the past years. But this doesn’t mean WB will be allowing Zack with a free hand on budgetary as reports also suggest that the Justice League’s Part One and Two that are set to be released in 2017 and 2018, respectively, will have a total (decent) budget of $500 million combined.
Right now Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is believed to be the most expensive movie ever made which set a milestone of $410.6 million. If Batman v Superman somehow manages to spend another million on their production, the movie could officially be the most expensive movie ever made!
