Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Cloud Version for Nintendo Switch Impressions

Assassin's Creed Odyssey Cloud Version

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

As you know that Assassin’s Creed Odyssey cloud version for the Nintendo switch is out, however, it’s only available in Japan and here are the impressions from the awaited version that has grabbed everyone’s attention in the gaming scene.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Cloud Version

The game is on the Nintendo e-shop (only in Japan) is at 44MB and is all free so you aren’t really pushed to pay for something you aren’t sure that will it run on my connection? With all this said down here I’ve listed my impressions.

Once you’ve signed into your Ubisoft account the game takes you into the main menu where you will find all the different options and settings, I went through the languages and yes English was an available option and so was the option to switch subtitles. The game was all voiced in English once the option was chosen. Given how this was all being streamed the navigation was perfectly timed and felt amazing.

Controls

The controls are nearly unbelievable as they are so responsive, every movement, attack felt perfect and greatly mimicked the feeling of playing the game right off the card.

Performance

Visually the game, of course, takes a small dig, as the main console itself is low on resolution compared to the powerhouses PlayStation and Xbox One but that to doesn’t stop the 20 minute demo being totally epic as it does look amazing running on your handheld, apart from all that what really felt off was the camera at times felt a little strict, the textures were well but somehow had this muddy essence to the overall look of it and the cut scenes where the only time where the performance went through hiccups, that could be from an unstable connection or the rendering of heavy graphics causing them.

Once you’re almost there at the end of your 20-minute demo it starts to prompt options of kicking you back to e-shop or the game launcher, of course once done with the time limit you can play it all again, just that the trail does not save progression and it all starts from the beginning.

Pricing

The pricing on it is a bit sturdy and comes as two different options one being the daily play where you can rent the game for $7 and obviously like me, not all can end it in one sitting so for a full game purchase it’s up for $75 (just Japanese things duh

Overall it looked well, performed amazingly ( the internet from my set kept it at 4 bars still) and the controls are perfect, the 20-minute demo really is an exceptional free experience that is totally recommended for those who own a switch (In Japan Only). Speaking of its pricing point, all of this can make an amazing rental deal and not really a good purchase of a deal.

In other news, the Skyforge PC Open beta release date has been announced.
