Artifact Card Game

It’s been a while since Valve released their anticipated Dota 2 based card game, Artifact. The game had a very weak reception and many people thought the game might flop but instead, it was very well received due to the mastermind behind the development, Richard Garfield. Artifact Player Base Down! Is The Game Dying?

The game was launched in November 28th with the peak of 60k+ players the next day. After that, the player base went quite downhill to a high percentage of 97. As of today, Artifact has less than 10,000 players who actually play the game. The negative ratings and criticism received by the game is due to the way Valve’s charging the players for cards and ranked matchmaking. The game has yet to receive a major update since November 30th. I think this update might save the game and Valve should make some sensible policies to save the game from dying. Let us know what do you think.
