Quite recently, Samsung teased Apple of its low iPhone battery life in ‘wall huggers’ ad. Now, it seems like Apple is considering this aspect of their devices too. A rumor from DailyMail claims a secret partnership between Apple and Intelligent Energy in this regard. Intelligent Energy is a fuel cell manufacturer (hydrogen cell in particular).
According to details, some work is being done on a project to embed fuel cells to mobile devices. Apple want their devices i.e. iPhones, iPads and Macs to be the first to introduce fuel cells in them. Fuel cells produces less heat thus utilizing low power fans hence giving more battery life. With fuel cells, your iPhone battery can last even weeks leaving the competitors far behind.
Here are some of the words from the publication which claims this partnership,
It has kept the identity of its partner a closely-guarded secret. But a source, who has knowledge of the partnership, confirmed that Apple is the big name working with the Loughborough-based firm.
If the British firm can become Apple’s chosen partner in a great leap forward for energy-efficient devices, it could be catapulted into the ranks of global technology players.
If things are really going so, no doubt, Apple is near to achieve some great success in terms of battery life. It may take time and complexity to make such iPhone battery depending on the size and thinness. It’s difficult but NOT IMPOSSIBLE!
Regardless of fuel cells, Apple is also considering solar cells for its devices too. Let’s see which plan Apple will implement for its future devices. But one thing is for sure, you will be getting considerably long iPhone battery life in future, sooner or later!
