Path-Featured

Path is a struggling social network which allows you to share photos and send text messages in groups. This service was launched back in November 2010 for mobile devices. It has a Talk service as well. According to a recent report, Apple is going to buy the social networking service Path.

According to pandodaily the deal is almost complete. After some remaining formalities and necessary steps, Path would completely be a part of Apple Inc. Such a deal would be beneficial for Path as it is a struggling social network and acquisition of Apple might boost its users. Apple will make it a part of its i Messages.

One thing to be noted is Dave Morin, Path’s founder was in the front row in yesterday’s Apple event, the row which was booked for Apple executives. It was a big sign of this acquisition.

According to pandodaily:

According to a single well-placed source inside Apple’s engineering team, the company is poised to announce an acquisition of Dave Morin’s Path social network. To quote our source, who requested to remain anonymous because the deal has not been announced yet, “It’s almost done, if not signed already, but it’s essentially a done deal.”

What do you think about this deal? Do you think it will be beneficial for both Apple and Path.
