Apple iOS 8 reaches 46% of iDevices in less than a week

Apple iOS 8

It has been less than a week since Apple has released the Apple iOS 8 and already it is running on 46% of iOS devices linked to the Apple App Store. These numbers are no joke. We have received these numbers from the official Apple developer portal.

As expected Apple iOS 8 numbers are rising, and as per the number rise, the iOS 7 usage is now dropping down. The iOS 7 usage has dropped at 49% but it’s going to continue spiraling down in the coming days and weeks. Versions that are older than iOS 7 take up the remaining 5% of the pie chart.

Less than a week ago, the iOS 8 rate stood just at 16%. AppleInsider cities a report from ad network Chitika which has monitored iOS 7 adoption over the past year. It says that iOS 7 reached its peak at 90% for iPhones and 85% for iPad days before Apple iOS 8 was revealed at WWDC in May.

Now with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus getting their spots in stores around the world, Apple iOS 8 will gain ever more traction.
