Today, AMD revealed its first hybrid chip, desktop socket AM4 APUs. Which are based on Zen CPU microarchitecture, The Ryzen 2000G ‘Raven Ridge’ series. This announcement revealed two APUs the Ryzen 3 2200G and the Ryzen 5 2400G. They will be releasing on 12th of February, 2018 and their specification are show below.

This chip is a combination of Quad core ZEN CPU and integrated graphics processor “Vega Graphics architecture“. Earlier, we talked about AMD Ryzen 5 2600 with their expected release date.

These Desktop APUs support memory speed upto 2933 MHz, and Shaders (iGPU Stream Processors) upto 704, which is quite astonishing. Before we get official hands on, by the looks, it looks quite beast already.

4 cores with 8 thread CPU clocked at 3.60 GHz, with a boost frequency of 3.90 GHz and Radeon Vega 11 graphics, The Ryzen 5 2400 has it all. With Max clock speed of 1,250 MHz, supports The dual-channel DDR4 integrated memory controller up to 64GB with max memory speed 2933MHz. On the other hand, The Ryzen 3 2200G is slightly lesser version of 2400G, info can be read on chart shown above.

AMD Ryzen 2000G Prices

AMD has yet launching two SKUs, The Ryzen 3 2200G, and the Ryzen 5 2400G with the prices revealed. The Ryzen 5 2400G is priced at USD $169, while the Ryzen 3 2200G goes for $99. The upcoming new processors would launch alongside new X470 motherboards.
