As we told you earlier about the rumors about the release of AMD Radeon Pro V340 having Vega 20 on 7nm chips having 32GB HBM2 memory. But it eventually came out to be having pair of 14nm Vega 10 GPUs. Now an interesting development is seen in the GPU market as the benchmarks of AMD Radeon Pro Vega 20 just got leaked. As the name suggest, it is going to be the first graphics card to be based on 7nm Vega 20. AMD is working to bring their 7nm Pro GPU not only for Server and HPC sectors but for other more sectors.

7nm AMD Radeon Pro Vega 20 with 32 GB HBM2:

Earlier speculations were that AMD Radeon Pro V340 based on 7nm process having 32 HBM2 was coming to the mark it place in the market as the first AMD 7nm GPU. Those hopes were shattered but now after the benchmark leak of AMD Radeon Pro Vega 20, people are really looking forward this GPU. Having a 7nm process with 32GB HBM2 memory this GPU is expected to have double the power effieciency and about 40 % more performance as compared to the 14nm process Vega 10 GPUs. The benchmarks released show that there is a driver for AMD Radeon Pro Vega 20 is already up and running. It will have enabled Dirext X 12 playing high end games at 4K. It will definitely have more clock speed that the current Pro Vega 10 graphics cards.  It’s expected that the card will debut with up to 4,096 stream processors.

As this 7nm process based AMD Vega 20 GPUs are coming to the pro market, so its possible that these GPU will not only be limited to server sector. There are bright chances that AMD will bring this GPU to the gamers as well. But considering the price of a PRO GPU would it be fine for gaming? It would also be interesting to see that what would be the stance of AMD entering this GPU in the gaming market.
