Alcatel to bring first 64-bit Windows Phone device

A large number of entrants are now making their way to Windows Phone markets. WP has now turned in a rapidly emerging platform. Other than big names, local companies are also designing WP devices. Windows Phone has got significant number of users in India, one of the major market of South Asia. Now, another (not a big) company Alcatel has revealed its plans to launch the first ever 64-bit Windows Phone device!

According to the plan, Alcatel will release a WP version of its famous Android smartphone, the Pop 2. This means, the 64-bit Windows Phone device will come with 4.5-inch FWVGA screen with 1GB RAM. The device will have latest 64-bit Snapdragon 410 processor with Adreno 306 GPU. The processor will be a quad-core one, clocked at 1.2 GHz.

Other than that, the only 64-bit Windows Phone device will weigh 147g, featuring 8GB storage. It will include 4 MP rear camera and VGA front camera. It will contain a 2,000 mAh battery. The device will be cost around 119 Euro. It will be available in white, blue, green, red, yellow and purple colors. A dual-SIM variant of the device will also come.

There are no official words regarding the release date of Alcatel Pop 2 Windows Phone version. However, we can expect the device to launch in a month or two.
