Gosho Aoyama’s manga series Detective Conan’s 24th anime movie has been confirmed for 2020 in the combined 21st and 22nd issue of Weekly Shonen Sunday

Detective Conan (Case Closed) is one of the longest-running anime series in Japan with a total of ‎934 episodes and is still airing along with One Piece which has 876 episodes and it is also airing. The manga series inspired many OVAs, anime adaptation and 23 movies. The latest combined 21st and 22 issues of Shogakukan‘s Weekly Shonen Sunday have confirmed that the manga series will have a 24th anime movie which is planned to release in 2020.

24th Detective Conan TV Anime Movie Confirmed

Detective Conan if not the most famous but one the most famous anime series which currently have the most episodes of anime in the industry’s history. Along with the confirmation of a 24th anime movie the June issue of the magazine also revealed that the manga adaptation of the 2010 anime film Detective Conan: The Lost Ship in The Sky. The movie was the 14th film in the film series.

A new manga adaptation for the 22nd film, Detective Conan: Zero the Enforcer was also announced in the June issue of Weekly Shonen Sunday. Yuzuru Tachikawa will be directing the movie. Abe and Maruden will draw the manga.  and Takeharu Sakurai wrote the movie script. The movie premiered in April 2018 earning more than 11 billion Yen (97 million USD).
