There was a confusion about Google Nexus devices that Google might stop producing Nexus devices and Silver will take its place. LG confirmed that it is not working on any nexus devices which made this news more solid that Google Nexus era might be ending. But in Google I/O this year Google confirmed that it is still interested in Nexus phones and wont stop making them for now.

Now according to Android Police Motorola is working on a Nexus Phablet with 5.9 inches of display and HTC is also working on a 9 inch Nexus tablet. So it confirms that at least one more phone and one more tablet is coming in Nexus line up. The next Nexus phone, codenamed shamu might be coming with the Android L official release this fall. Reportedly it has a fingerprint sensor too like Samsung Galaxy S5 and Apple iPhone 5S. Other specifications of the device are not clear yet. Neither any picture of device was leaked but according to Android Police, Shamu is in active development by Google and Motorola.

We have to wait to see whether Shamu really exists or it is just a rumor. What do you think about Shamu?
